“The more you look forward to Heaven, the less you’ll desire of earth.”

NOW, a bit of history!

In February 2000, I released a new Gospel recording project, entitled “I Am Not Ashamed.” The project is a testimony of my faith and love for God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Each song has a special meaning to my heart and/or something I have gone through in my personal life.

My life has been filled with many battles, but God has always been there as my anchor and strong-hold. My prayer throughout this recording project was that God would use this music and me to be an encourager to those who listen. During my battle with breast cancer, God brought many wonderful people into my life and used people to encourage me. My heart’s desire is to be used to help others in the same way.

The American Cancer Society used “My Survival Story” to be used on their website! What a privilege that was and how honored I feel!

In December, 2000, I released two more new projects. One is called, “Look Out I’m About To Shout” which reflects my excitement about life and serving God! One song on there is truly special to me because God gave me the lyrics to the song! It is called, “Jesus”….you’ll recognize the tune, but the lyrics are new to you! The other project is called, “Carol & The Holidays!” The unique thing about this project is that it includes all the holidays….Christmas, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day, Independence Day and Thanksgiving! It is truly a Holiday CD!! The special song to my heart on this project is “The Christmas Song” and you’ll see why when you listen to it! God has blessed me with great opportunity to share His word to so many through these projects!

Since that time, I’ve released three songs on a “Carol at MAGMA” project…..short but lively!

One of my favorite experiences was recording a CD with my husband and father-in-law.  The project is called “Old Fashioned” and that it is…..lots of old favorites.  Nothing fancy…..just like jammin’ in the living room, which my husband’s family has done plenty of!!!  The other part of this project that was so much fun for me was being able to do all my own harmonies.  I love to sing harmony, so this was a real treat for me!

In 2014, I had the beautiful experience of working with fellow CGMA members, Rick & Cathy White, on a new project. This project was all live music recorded in Rick & Cathy’s studio.  Rick did all of the instruments except the piano (Jimmy Gilliam) and mandolin (my hubby, Tommy How).  I was blessed to be able to do most of the harmonies but Rick & Cathy also shared in much of the harmony on the project. We released the CD “I Love This Day” in October & November of 2014. The title song was written by Rick’s brother, Lee White, but was never recorded by Lee as he passed away in 2012 with bladder cancer. The White Family allowed me the privilege of recording and releasing this song on this new project. Again, however, tragedy struck the White Family and our CGMA Family, when my wonderful producer, Rick White, passed away suddenly in his sleep in November….. what a tragedy! One week Rick & Cathy are with me as we released three songs from the CD at the 2014 MAGMA Convention….. 5 nights later, Rick went to be with the Lord! I can only say, this is the most loved and respected of all my recording projects and, along with my dedication to first honor God, is dedicated to the life and memory of Rick and Lee White….. In Jesus Name

Be sure to check out “Carol’s Testimony” and see how God has taken the dreaded cancer in my life and turned it into a beautiful ministry!  Thank you for your support! May God bless you with much joy and hopeful opportunity!

Various Awards

Carol has received various awards over the past ten years. These awards are graciously accepted and respected from her peers.  However, they are used as tools of encouragement and nothing else.  Carol’s greatest battle in earlier years was against the sin of pride. She prays to always remain humble and only sing to worship and share the awesomeness of God!

Thank you to all of the CGMA members who voted & recognized Carol as their 2014 International CGMA Female Vocalist of the Year, in Branson, at the October 2014 International Convention.  This was Carol’s first award on an International level and was greatly appreciated. Such an honor and humbling experience!
