Carol's Music Ministry
St. Louis Race for the Cure Events
Thousands of people participate in the St. Louis Race for the Cure each year! It is something you have to see to believe! Here we are at the starting point!
Race for the Cure is an annual event, raising money for the fight against breast cancer. The Race is sponsored by and is part of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. My participation in this event has been one of the most humbling and exciting events I have had the opportunity to experience!
Doing a promotional commercial, meeting Rams players and cheerleaders, meeting news media personalities, dinner at Grant's Farm and a beautiful High Tea at the Ritz-Carlton....what a privilege and what wonderful memories have been made for so many!
BUT, the most important factor....over $750,000 was raised for breast cancer research! 75% of that will stay in the St. Louis area!
Already planning for next year! Plan to volunteer all I can!
Carol with Rams Great....KURT WARNER!
What a treat and surprise to get a chance to meet Kurt Warner and get a picture! God put Carol and friend Linda at the right place at the right time!! Thank you, God! Kurt and his wife are great advocates of the Race for the Cure and do so much to help with the event! They were the Master of Ceremony at the Race. |
|
Carol's friend, Linda Wilson, with Kurt Warner!
Sadly, Carol has since lost her dear friend Linda to breast cancer....her third bout after several years of survival. Linda is dearly missed! |
|
Here Linda and Carol stand under the HUGE archway of survival pink balloons. This is the area where the group survivor picture was taken.

The Komen Luncheon - (l-r) (Aunt) Tina Davis, Carol and Bette Mueller
These three cancer survivors were very excited about attending the Luncheon for survivors and families, held at the Chase Park Plaza! |

Aunt Tina Davis and Carol!
We are standing in front of one of the wooden ribbons, honoring breast cancer survivors! Our "little" ribbons with our names on them are at Aunt Tina's left shoulder! |
|
Carol with some RAMS CHEERLEADERS!
The Rams Cheerleaders were supporting the event by handing out autographed pictures and Rams pictures! |
|
Carol with D'Marco Farr - Famed Rams Player
How exciting! Check out that Super Bowl Ring! Farr and his wife were the Masters of Ceremony! They are Christians and have a great ministry....when I told him I loved the Rams, he said, "I love those pink shirts!" When I told him I loved his ministry....his face just glowed! |
|
More Rams Players!
Aunt Tina and I were so excited....can you tell??? When the race was completed, the Rams players were waiting for the survivors and gave each one a beautiful pink rose and card! What a nice treat! |

Carol & Mrs. Missouri
What a sweet lady and what an honor to meet her! |
|
Carol & Aunt Tina with prized roses!
Here we are, finished with the race, roses in hands, in front of Busch Stadium! What a glorious day! We have been treated so special! Guess we are, huh? |

Doing a Promotional Commercial at KEZK
I was honored to be invited to do a promotional commercial at the St. Louis radio station sponsoring the Race for the Cure, KEZK! Neat experience! |
|
Pre-Race Dinner at Grant's Farm
Thursday before the Race on Saturday, we were hosted a wonderful outside dinner in the courtyard of Grant's Farm. We had a tour of the complex and just a wonderful evening! I was so very glad my good friend and breast cancer survivor, Linda Wilson, was able to share this event with me! |
